About
Kathleen M. Pacenti
My art consists of bright vivid colors and light. I enjoy working with a lot of color, I find the interplay of color fascinating. I utilize different techniques such as stamping, stenciling and palette knife applications in addition to traditional brush work. Some of my work is strictly acrylics and other works consist of mixed media. I'm inspired by nature, architecture, interior design and other artists. Most of my paintings contain both abstract and representational components. I strive to convey an element of beauty in all my work.
I’ve taught art to children K-5th at Ooltewah Elementary School and Belvoir Christian Academy through a program called Children's Art Place. In the summer of 2018 & 2019 I was the Arts and Crafts Specialist for Pok-O-MacCready summer camp in upstate New York. I have also taught summer art camps at Art Creations and at Belvoir Christian Academy. In addition, I was a founding member of Mixed Media Inspired Artists and Broad Stroke Artists here in Chattanooga, TN. I have shown and I am currently showing much of my art in and around Tennessee and Georgia at the following venues; Reflections Gallery, Neighbor of Wine Down Restaurant, WanderLinger Brewing Company Art Gallery, Chattanooga Auction House, North River Civics Center, Michael's Fine Arts and Framing in Dalton, Exum Gallery, The Customs House Museum & Cultural Center in Clarksville, Harris Arts Center in Calhoun, Creative Arts Guild in Dalton and Erlanger Medical Center.
Three of my paintings have been shown in the May, June, and July 2021 issues of The World of Interiors magazine Artistic Impressions section. More recently I was the featured artist in the April 2023 edition of Chatter magazine “Sketchbook” section.
A body of my work can be viewed and purchased at In Town Gallery on Frazier Ave. in Chattanooga, TN.
